📝 Abstract

Behavioral analysis is pivotal in understanding how environmental and cultural factors influence individual actions and social dynamics. This study explores the cultural differences in behavioral patterns by comparing populations from Portugal, Thailand, and Iran. The objective is to identify unique behavioral tendencies that are influenced by socio-cultural norms and to examine the implications for psychological practices in diverse cultural settings. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, the study gathered quantitative data through surveys and qualitative data via focus group discussions. The findings reveal significant variations in behavioral responses to social stimuli, with cultural norms heavily influencing decision-making and conflict resolution strategies. For instance, collectivist societies exhibited higher levels of conformity and social cohesion compared to individualistic cultures, which prioritized personal autonomy and self-efficacy. The conclusion emphasizes the necessity for culturally tailored approaches in psychological interventions and highlights the importance of understanding cultural context in behavioral sciences. This research contributes to the broader field of cross-cultural psychology by providing empirical evidence on how culture shapes behavior, thus underscoring the critical role of cultural competence in psychological practice.
