📝 Abstract
The rapid pace of urbanization has significantly increased waste generation, necessitating the development of efficient waste management strategies to mitigate environmental impacts. This study aims to explore innovative waste management techniques to improve urban environmental sustainability. We employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of waste generation data with qualitative assessments through stakeholder interviews in urban centers across three continents. Our findings reveal that integrating technology-driven solutions, such as smart waste bins and automated sorting facilities, with community-based waste reduction initiatives can significantly enhance waste management efficiency. Moreover, public awareness and education on waste segregation and recycling were identified as critical factors for successful implementation. The study concludes that a multi-faceted approach, involving policy-making, technological advancements, and community engagement, is essential for sustainable urban waste management. The proposed strategies not only reduce environmental footprint but also promote economic and social benefits, paving the way for more resilient urban ecosystems.
