πŸ“ Abstract

Constant changes which are coming from the environment represent big challenges to the modern organizations. Adaptations to the changes are condition of survival so answer must be adequate. In such conditions leadership becomes an essential factor of success of modern organizations. The leaders which can see in employees’ strong energy for achieving the goals of one organization and know how to direct their energy in the right way, they can be called successful leaders. Motivation of the employees is one of the hardest tasks of the leaders. The goals of the organization must be harmonized with the personal goals of the employees so they would be interested in accomplishing those goals. The consciousness of the leaders that only by motivation of the employees to constantly improve and acquire new knowledge, is the one which can contribute to organization to create the core of competencies and to accomplish competitive advantage to which all modern organizations are tending to. \nIn order to perceive the place and role of the leaders in the motivation of learning organization we conducted an empirical study, questionnaire on a random sample of forty organizations in the Republic of Serbia, and in this paper are presented the results we obtained through the processing of the data. And so we came to the conclusion that the influence of the leader in the organizations on the motivation of employees is very large.
