📝 Abstract
Abstract—More than 1200 Content Management Systems (CMS) have been developed so far. Each CMS consists of several modules, for example more than 9300 modules for Joomla. Some quality attributes of CMSs have never been considered such as portability and integrablity; therefore written modules for a CMS cannot be used in other CMSs and modules are developed separately as a group of separate islands.\nIn this paper, MEDA-Process is provided towards solving above mentioned problem. For this purpose, first, the drawbacks of current architectures have been investigated and categorized. Second, in order to solve those problems, new decentralized, modular and event-driven principles as named MEDA-Principles have been provided. Afterwards, a new architecture as named MEDA-CMS has been developed based on MEDA-Principles. Evolution steps and guidelines are provided for developing the modules of MEDA-CMS; and two modules of MEDA-CMS are presented as case studies. Finally, it is shown that MEDA-CMS is able to cover all problems of the current architecture. \nIf MEDA-CMD is fully developed, it can be turn to a platform to all CMS modules. MEDA-Process can be applied on other scopes of information systems such as Business Process Management and Agent architectures.
