📝 Abstract
The study was carried out at the Research area of Entomological research institute, Faisalabad during 2011 and 2012. for trial of Twenty (20) genotypes of okra were screened out in preliminary screening during 1st year regarding resistant/susceptible response against jassid, Amrasca biguttula biguttula (Ishida) . For the final screening trial year 2012 three (3) genotypes showing comparatively susceptible (Pusa Swani , Lush Green , MD-025), 3 with intermediate (Sabz pari Clean spineless and JKTetra-6) while 3 with resistant (Green Star , Okra-7080 and Sanum) responses against jassid were selected from preliminary screening trial. During both study years considerable significant difference was observed. The trend in selected genotypes towards susceptibility/resistance against jassid was similar to that observed during preliminary screening trial. Pusa sawani showed maximum Host Plant Susceptibility Indices (HPSI) i.e. 18 % and was susceptible, while Green wonder was comparatively resistant with minimum HPSI i.e., 5 %.
