📝 Abstract
Glass represents an unavoidable material in our modern life. Its application can be found in many fields. The present work focuses on the study of glass properties manufactured in Algeria. Two types of glasses were investigated, one brown and the second grey. Both glasses have high resistance to basic and acidic mediums. Measured volume masses were 2.51 g/cm3 and 2.49 g/cm3 for grey and brown glasses respectively. Thermal expansion coefficient α, measured by Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) technique was found to be 10.22*10-6 K-1 for the grey glass and 9.75* 10-6 K-1 or the brown glass.
