In this study I have tried to analyse the factors which influence the health status of a Roma community. Therefore, I have made a sociological inquiry based on a semi-structured interview and I have applied it to 50 Roma people. The conclusion is that the poor socio-economic situations of this community as well as the austere living conditions compromise significantly the chance for a healthy life. Health promotion in this Roma community is an unreachable goal considering that the perspectives of a decent life are far away.
