📝 Abstract

Parasitoids are responsible for reducing the populations of flies that proliferate on various substrates. Evaluation of these species’ capacity for natural control over these insects is important for enabling studies that aim towards subsequent selection of species for use in biological control programs. The objective of this study was to verify the families of the\nparasitoids collected in area of forest in south Goiás, using yellow pan traps and malaise, from February to October of 2002. A total of 2242 specimens of parasitoid were collected\nin the yellow pan traps and 4135 specimens in the Malaise traps. Family Ichneumonidae was the most frequent collected in the yellow pan traps with 19.7%. Also, in the Malaise\ntraps, the family Ichneumonidae 37.4% was the most frequently found
